Stuart Holdsworth - Chief Executive Officer
In 1993, Stuart founded Financial Simplicity to provide a fundamentally new approach to delivering investment portfolio services to wealth managers. Financial Simplicity's ideological cornerstone is a highly engineered and repeatable business process to mitigate traditional operational conflicts of interest with wealth management businesses.
With a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nottingham (UK), Stuart's professional experience spans Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA. His professional experience includes roles at Price Waterhouse Management Consultants, Reuters, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Avanteos and Open Market. He was a founding director of the Australian Institute of Managed Account Providers (iMAP), the peak industry body for providers of managed accounts in Australia.
Combining strategic thinking with highly detailed technology knowledge, Stuart is passionate about developing ground-breaking technology to improve the efficiency of financial services -- specifically for the collective benefit of all stakeholders in the financial services industry supply chain.
Aside from financial technology innovation, Stuart's other interests include his family, surfing, swimming, and ocean yacht racing. Stuart has navigated ocean racing yachts, including the maxi yacht 'Brindabella', and competes regularly on the Australian offshore yacht racing scene including the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
Enda Mahoney - Chief Operating Officer
Drawing on 20 years of extensive experience in the wealth management industry, Enda is passionate about building profitable and ground-breaking software business groups. With a distinguished track record for innovation, organisation and leadership at some of the world’s leading financial institutions including BT Financial Group, and BlackRock Solutions, Enda joined Financial Simplicity as Chief Operating Officer in 2011.
Enda’s diverse wealth management background includes senior executive roles at Financial Models Corporation (Wealth Management technology), as Managing Director Australia; and Bravura solutions, as Chief Technology Officer (Wealth management technology). Enda has also served as Director, Business Development Asia (Global specialist in risk management) for BlackRock Solutions and as Managing Director (Australia) for IMPACT Investing, an Australian based Equity Analytics technology firm.
When not fully occupied with technology innovation, Enda fuels his substantial additional energies by honing his barista skills, enjoying an eclectic range of music, long distance running, and contemplating exotic travel destinations.
Nick Garland - Chief Technology Officer
Nick co-founded Financial Simplicity in 2003 and has substantial experience in developing and applying leading edge financial services technology solutions.
Nick's professional experience includes previous technology management roles with Telstra, Match Trade and Advantra. Nick has Bachelor of Telecommunications Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University of New South Wales. His specialist expertise includes the use of pattern recognition techniques to identify broking opportunities in illiquid interest rate markets and the development of a credit risk free payment solution.
In addition to his keen interest in innovative technology solutions to enhance wealth management services, Nick's other interests include his family, windsurfing and sailing.
Richard Arnold - Non-Executive Director
Richard is CFO and Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development of CrowdFlower, the world's leading Business Process Crowdsourcing company. With more than 30 years’ operating at the senior executive level, Richard’s financial services technology background is outstanding and he has extensive experience across the breadth of the wealth management sector.
Richard has served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Phoenix Technologies Ltd., (NASDAQ: PTEC), the world’s leading provider of core system software to the computer industry and also as a founding partner of Committed Capital Proprietary Limited, a Sydney-based small private equity investment company. He has been Executive Director of Consolidated Press Holdings Limited, a large Sydney-based private investment company and has also served as member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Intellisync Corporation (NADSAQ: SYNC). He was a Director of Saint Bernard Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: SBSW), of Stonebridge Securities Limited, and of Growth Equities Mutual Limited. In addition, Richard has held various senior management roles with Charles Schwab Corporation (NASDAQ: SCHW).
Richard holds a B.S. degree in psychology from Stanford University and has completed the Executive Program in Finance at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He was a foundation member of the International Association of Financial Planners and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
